Mugging Victim Grateful for Neighbors
Hugo Barrios was mugged outside his apartment on N. 5th Street, Friday Sept. 21. (See the original report here.) The assailants, two African-American men, used pepper spray but could not steal anything before they were chased off by Miles Grant (writer of the Green Miles blog) and his girlfriend Lauren Uranga. They were not caught.
The interview with Hugo took place in October at the Ballston Commons Mall. The interview with Mr. Grant and Ms. Uranga took place at Mr. Grant’s apartment on a different day. The interviews have been edited for time and organization.
